Quick note on my lunch hour. As the subject says, the old eye-twitch is back. A sure sign of stress. I didn't realize it was this bad, but when the eye-twitch appears I'm in trouble!!! I've had about 5 high profile balls up in the air at work and they all have come crashing down. I've also caught "the cold." Went home sick early yesterday (where I promptly crawled into bed). Returned to the office this morning to find numerous fires that needed putting out. I'd remind myself to breathe, but it's hard with a stuffed up nose!!!
Also had my spiritual direction appointment this morning. Went great … I love that time to check in. That said, I wimped out again on bringing up this whole blogging experiment. Seems like something she should be aware of, especially as it relates to my whole spiritual and discernment explorations. Not so sure what she'd think about it though.
Then again I'm not so sure what I think about it. Why do I feel the need to share my personal thoughts, struggles and doubts with complete strangers? I haven't even really told many friends about the blog. How weird is that?
Also haven't clued in the groovy sisters. Hmmmm..... what exactly am I afraid of do you think?

I let some friends and family know about my blog, but they've ignored it. I guess it's just not interesting to them, and that's fine. I don't go around advertising it to all my family and friends either.... so why do I blog? It's a great learning experience for me - emotionally, spiritually, and for plain old knowledge too. And, I like reading the stories of others.
Steve - thanks for the input. And good to know that others have similar reasons for this whole blog thing.
By the way - I can happily report that the eye twitch has gone away - for now anyway!!
I think blogging is just a way of being social, which all but the most die-hard hermits need to do. In our fragmented, anonymous society it's hard to find like minds outside our front door, but much easier to find them online. And what a joy for INTJs--there is little need for small talk--we can get right to the point!
By the way, I told my Godmother (a Sister) about you and she thought you sounded cool and had good things to say about your groovy sisters. :-)
I've decided to start inviting folks to visit the blog for a peak into my inner thoughts. If you're an invited guest - welcome. I'm interested to know what you think. (Uninvited guests are of course welcome as well).
Sylvia - so, does your Sister Godmother know what you've maybe possibly but not really been thinking about?
hello! i am so glad to have found you - thank you for posting with me so i could follow you back here :)
my friends and family know that i blog, my family has never asked for the site location, the only ones really interested are one or two of the servers who work for me; i am not certain i want them in on my whole spiritual angsty-self. we'll see.
your eye twitch, while annoying as all get out, is a muscle spasm that you need to relax as soon as it happens, apply pressure, whatever. my doc told me this when i told him i had them all the time -he said the muscle expands and contracts because it remembers to - take away the muscle's memory and it will stop.
(i wonder why the memory of my sons in taking out the trash isn't as good?)
I've only told my closest friend about my blog. Then again, I am a "newbie" in the world of religious blogging. ;)
I'm yet to tell my friendly guide (the Sister who is walking with me on my life journey) about my blog. I did talk to her about religious blogging in general, though.
I, too, am a little hesitant and scared about revealing this to my family and friends. One day I will share my blog with them...
In the meantime, it is open to whoever stumbles across it - hopefully no one! :p I'll certainly continue to read your lovely blog for inspiration. Thanks again for sharing, Susan. :)
