No, not by the fast food giant. "Those darn Jesuits" in Ireland (that one was for you Mark!).
This morning I settled down for my morning prayer and just couldn’t quite get into the groove. This happens sometimes. And for me, I know it means that I’m in a rut and I just need to try another way of being present with God. I remembered the very link I put on my side bar a few days ago for Sacred Space – an internet based prayer space started by the aforementioned Irish Jesuits.
And so I followed along with my virtual prayer guide. It was quite nice actually. I’d definitely recommend the experience to anyone who is in a prayer rut of their own or who wants to pray but "doesn’t know how." It’s funny, now that I’m on this path people talk to me about things like prayer – unsolicited. And the most common concern I hear is that they want to pray but don’t know how. I guess they figure I’m a good person to talk to, because if I’m considering religious life, I obviously pray. Or at least we hope I do!
As I finished my prayer this morning and clicked on the final "Amen," a message reminded me that "When we pray, we are never alone." It also told me that since Lent 1999, 14,576,388 people (including me) had prayed via the Sacred Space.
Another great ministry by "those darned Jesuits." Helping people find their way to prayer around the globe.

Feel free to spinoff as much as you'd like! I don't claim exclusive rights to the franchise. In fact, I encourage imitations!
Sacred Space rocks!
Peace,
