I go to daily mass downtown with a wonderful assortment of folks - office workers, social workers, people down on their luck, some struggling with addictions and mental illness. The prayer of the faithful is always a lesson for me in every day faith. Very real concrete prayers from their daily realities.
I have a tendency to intellectualize my faith and relationship with God. I'm a thinker so it makes sense. But it's good to be reminded that there are all kinds of ways to live the life of faith. And Jesus invites us all into relationship. Pretty cool.
