Questions Part One
I received an e-mail interview from a college student doing a research paper on alternative lifestyles. She decided to write about the Sisters of St Joseph of Peace! Very interesting. In many ways, religious life is an alternative lifestyle. Just not what one normally thinks of when reading the term!
Questions Part Two
Tonight I'm heading to Seattle for Groovy Sister Reserves. Tomorrow I'm making a day trip to Chilliwack, British Columbia to interview one of our Sisters for the groovy sister congregation magazine. I'm quite excited about it! It was nice to be asked to do something for the community, and I honestly don't think I've interviewed someone since high school newspaper! She's 85, does prison ministry, has a community garden, and is an all around superstar. Really looking forward for the chance to chat and get to know more about her.
Questions Part Three
Sunday I've got my first self-reflection on candidacy with my formation director and mentor. We'll be chatting about the written reflection I gave them a few weeks ago. There will be another reflection in a few months, at which point we decide if I'm ready to apply for novitiate.
So, lots of questions. As I said in question two, I'm heading up for groovy sister reserves this afternoon after work. It will be good to get away. I'm entering my busiest season at work. I've been here late every day this week!
Cheers and deep peace to you all,
Susan
