inner dejay returns

My inner deejay returned this morning … this time in the voice of Sufjan Stevens from “Chicago” …

I drove to New York in the van, with my friend
we slept in parking lots
I don't mind, I don't mind
I was in love with the place
in my mind, in my mind
I made a lot of mistakes
in my mind, in my mind
you came to take us
all things go, all things go
to recreate us
all things grow, all things grow
we had our mindset
all things know, all things know
you had to find it
all things go, all things go

And what is my inner deejay trying to tell me? I think to get some perspective. To realize that the holy spirit is with us. God is in charge. All will be well.

I had a great weekend in Portland. Was able to spend some quality time with good friends. Was able to experience some of those things that make Portland ... well ... Portland. I realized that "I was in love with this place." A lot of me is tied up with this place. I came into my own here. Learned about life, grew up. But God is calling me to move on, to move forward to new things ... God is calling us. To recreate us. All thing go, and all things grow. Some thoughts to take with me this day.
