Now the mind is free, so the lovely things of the past mix in with the lovely things of the present. Life and prayer are intertwined, because the natural thing to do is to talk to God, to pray. Nothing is compartmentalized. We’re part and parcel of what’s going on all over the world. That’s not something I have to work on – it’s a natural reaction, a natural response. All the equipment we have, our senses of vision, hearing, touch, blend in to connect us to the Creator and we’re still connected when any of these senses are lost. ~ Sr. Margaret Dove, CSJP
Occasional musings of a Generation X Sister of St. Joseph of Peace. Read along as I live into a life of love and service as a modern day Catholic Sister (aka "nun") and continue to discern my call to "act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God."

wisdom from a dove
Sr. Margaret Dove passed away at west coast groovy sister hq in Bellevue, Washington on Pentecost Sunday. She was one of those amazing wisdom figures, yet completely down to earth with a heart of gold. The other Sister Susan sent me some readings they used in her wake service - taken from her own words. I used this quote in our prayer time this morning to set the tone for our discernment workshop.
