What's Your Dream Engagement Ring?

As it turns out, I will be getting a ring. Per our Constitutions: "As a sign of our vowed commitment we wear a silver ring" The ring is given at first profession (October 11th for me).

Traditionally, some of our sisters have had a personal moto or saying engraved inside the ring. One of the all time best groovy sister stories is about the sister who wanted a specific type of ring. She wanted her ring to be "flat and thin." She also wanted her moto to be engraved as something like, "Lord make me simple." (I forget the specifics of the story but you get the idea). Can you see what is coming? ... Both instructions were put on the order slip that went to the jewelers. So, when she got her ring, the engraving said something like "Lord make me simple, flat and thin."

I've been thinking a lot about what, if anything, I'd want engraved inside my ring. This is funny in light of this blog quiz, because what keeps coming back to me is something of my heart journey. I haven't centered in on a specific phrase, but "Open my heart" is something that keeps coming to me in prayer.
