I woke up yesterday to some familiar news .... The Transit Authorities were explaining why a little bit of snow completely shut down the transit system and why it wasn't cost effective to buy snow plows for something that happens every 18 years. This time, of course, it wasn't Seattle and the great Snowpocolypse of 2008, but London in 2009.
The Sisters of St Joseph of Peace are located in three distinct geographic regions: the UK, New Jersey and the Pacific Northwest. We all have our charism and spirituality in common, but we also have differences. I've come to discover that many of the differences stem from the cultures of where we've been living for the past 120+ years.
It's funny that of the three regions, two have absolutely no idea how to handle snow.
