125th and Homecoming

We've got a big weekend here at groovy sister hq. It's our Spring Province Assembly, when all of the Sisters and Associates gather from the far corners of the west coast for prayer, celebration and business. It's also our last Province Assembly, as we become one Congregation without provinces May 1st. I'm sure we'll still gather for assemblies, we'll just call them something else.

Really it's like a homecoming weekend. Sisters have been arriving all week - from Eugene, Oregon and Bellingham, Washington and Ketchican, Alaska, Washington, D.C., San Diego, South San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Tonight I pick up the other Sister Susan who is arriving from El Salvador. The dining room was full of the buzz of old friends catching up. It's so good to see everyone, and there will be even more folks here when the assembly starts on Saturday!

We're also celebrating the 125th Anniversary of our Congregation. I've been on the planning committee for our Assembly weekend. It will be a wonderful time of celebrating, remembering and embracing the future.

Blogging will be light, but I'll try to post a recap when the weekend is over.

Peace my bloggy friends.
