I'm writing this from the departures lounge @ newark airport. My flight home to Seattle is delayed. As are many other flights so it's a very packed house. It's an inconvenience to be sure, but the miracle of flight which gets me 3,000 miles away in a matter of hours with minimal effort on my part makes it worthwhile.
Sorry for the blogging silence. I've been busy spending time with my dad who is facing some delays of his own. In his case it's taking him longer than he'd like to recover from a series of surgeries enough to be able to return home. However, given the miracle of life saving surgery, I'm not one to complain. It was good to spend time with him, make his days a bit less monotonous in the rehab center, and give him the present of presence.
