Margaret Anna Fridays

It's a tradition on this blog to share some words of wisdom and inspiration on Fridays from the founder of my religious community, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.  Known in religion as Mother Francis Clare, Margaret Anna Cusack was a prolific writer in her day. 

All unquiet, all unrest, all want of peace arises from some opposition in our part to the Divine will.  We cannot be at rest, we cannot have peace, while we are struggling against our Creator.  It is hard to kick against the goad;  it is hard to persecute Jesus;  it is hard to resist God.~M.F.
