Michelle tagged me before my trip to Seattle. Most of the drive was spent listening to HP 6 on tape (I know, I just read it but it was quick and this way I can savor the goings on at Hogwarts) rather than music.
As I understand it, the meme is pretty simple … list the 10 songs you’re listening to most at the moment. These are all songs I’ve listened to one or more times during the past week. The last 4 I’ve been using to mellow out before evening prayer. The others are just music I like.
So, drumroll please …..
1) 16 Military Wives by the Decemberists (I can’t get this one out of my head, possibly because of Cindy Sheehan or just the catchy tune)
2) We Will Become Sillhouettes by the Postal Service
3) If You’re Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
4) Song for You by Ben Lee
5) This Weak by Voice of the Beehive
6) Fast Car by Tracy Chapman (A flashback to the day I first got my drivers license and drove around my suburban town to this song)
7) God Beyond All Names by Bernadette Farrell (Church music, I know, but what do you expect)
8) By the Waking of Our Hearts by Ricky Manalo, CSP (more Church music … but the composer is my former associate pastor)
9) Heather on the Hill from the musical Brigadoon soundtrack
10) Music from Pucinni’s Madame Butterfly (don’t know the song titles, just know they are beautiful and make me stop and center if I’m feeling particularly scattered)

Church music is cool. :)
I haven't heard some of these so now I'm going to head over to Real music or something to check them out.
