hp in stitches

Just got back from watching Goblet of Fire at my local cineplex. Good movie. True to the feel of the book, even if it skips out on some semi-important sub plots such as justice for elves.

But am I not correct in thinking that we learned in Book 5 when Mr. Weasley was in St Mungo's Hospital that wizzard healers do not use such monstrous muggle medical techniques as stitches? Then why pray tell was Mr. Potter sporting some stitches on the side of his face? Perhaps Madame Pomfrey is an afficianado of Muggle Medicine. Or, more likely, the makers of the film are not detail oriented hp geeks like yours truly.

No matter. Enjoyed the film. Highly recommend it. But the books are soooo much better.

We saw it last night and my wife was bothered by the stitches, too. She's quite detail oriented, whereas I haven't read the fourth book in years and couldn't for the life of me tell you what was omitted from the film. But we both enjoyed it. :-)
