learn from me

This morning Jesus said to me:

"Jesus said to the crowds:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (Matthew 11: 28-30)

Today's Gospel is oh so familiar. And yet ... this morning the words "learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart" JUMPED out at me.

Jesus my teacher once again is telling me how simple it is. Meek and humble of heart. That does not describe me. But can I grow into that? What would happen if I did?
