tired and happy

Just a quick check in. My trip to BC & the Jubilee were great as expected.

My nephew has grown up into a smart, polite, kind, engaging and funny young man. I can't wait to see how he continues to grow and change and experience life. The University of British Columbia campus was also very impressive. Lots of trees. A full Japanese garden ... on campus! Not to mention a museum of archeology. And free wifi. And a great academic reputation too. We'll see what he chooses.

The Jubilee Celebration today was wonderful. It is so humbling to be a part of such an endeavor, of women of faith who live life to the fullest. Among the jubilarians were teachers, nurses, leaders, prison ministers, and a list much too long to include here over their collective 550 years of religious life. Such a joy to celebrate women who continue to answer God's call to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly....

But I'm tuckered out, so that's all for now. Hope everyone is having a happy and safe memorial day weekend.
