This afternoon I left my clutter filled cubicle with piles and piles that represent unfinished project after unfinished project to head home where I am surrounded by clutter and piles that represent who knows what. And as my counter at the bottom of the blog tells me, I have a little more than 2 months to sort through it all and tie up all the loose ends!!!!
Good thing all things are possible for God. If this was left up to me I'd be in big trouble!!!!
The thing to do is start tackling manageable tasks. I bought some boxes and packing tape on the way home. I'm going to log off and start packing up winter clothes. Although as I started to do this, I realized I am woefully lacking in East Coast-Ready winter attire. It normally doesn't get much below 40 degrees here in Portland, except for 2 weeks of cold weather in January. I have 3 warm sweaters and 1 fleece. Hmmmm.... don't know if that's going to cut it. But in any case, they shall be packed up along with my un East-Coast-Ready winter coats and not-really-ready for snow-boots before I head to bed tonight. What I'm not packing and don't wear any more will be going in a bag to be given away. That will be a start.
I'm in town this weekend for once so Saturday is devoted to beginning this project of getting my home in order. Really, I mean it this time. No distractions. No matinees (well, maybe one). But with 2 months and a couple weeks I really need to get my you know what in gear!!!

Yeah, I remember the "I need to get myself in gear" days .... followed by the same "two months and a couple weeks" of saying, "I really need to get myself in gear" ..... and then a couple of rather timely all-nighters ....
May you be more successful than I.
