Occasional musings of a Generation X Sister of St. Joseph of Peace. Read along as I live into a life of love and service as a modern day Catholic Sister (aka "nun") and continue to discern my call to "act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God."

novitiate expedition
Today one of my fellow novices was kind enough to have a birthday. Which meant that the Novitiate House got to have a special outing! We explored a small portion of the Big Apple (the Natural History Museum & Rose Center for Earth & Science). It was a great chance for us to to figure out the best way to get from our view of the City to the actual City. Turns out a short drive, a quick ferry ride, and then a taxi ride was all it took! Fun was had by all (even the birthday girl I think).

I'm glad to see that the brave band of novices made it safely to and from the Big Apple - and that you heeded my advice about the taxi!
