half way point

Before I arrived for my novitiate sojourn in New Jersey, I discovered that I was 31% New Jersey. My conclusion was that the score was as high as it was because I grew up in nearby Maryland. Well, I've almost been here 6 months and now ...

You Are 51% New Jersey!
You've definitely got some Jersey in you. Congratulations, it's a great thing to be. However you're score could certainly be a lot higher!

So something is rubbing off. Or it could just be that I do in fact live within 10 minutes of 4 major highways!

Despite looking out at the City every day and yesterday's art expedition ...

You Are 20% NYC

At best, you're a tourist. At worst, you're a poseur.

Hey now, NJ is way more than just highways! ;)

Of course there's more to NJ than highways! :) It's just that this was one of the questions that I could now answer in the affirmative. Another was the color of the Empire State Building at night. These and other answers resulted in my higher answer this time!

This has nothing to do with New Jersey...

I read "Last on the Menu" that you had mentioned recently. (Interlibrary loan is such a good thing!)

I'm curious -- the author talks about entering the Sisters of St. Joseph of Newark. When did they become the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace? Did they start in New Jersey and then expand to the Pacific Northwest?

A belated response to this... I was something like 61% New York, and it said, "You are probably a real New Yorker, though there's a good chance you really live on Long Island." I suspect I would have done better if I'd answered "yes" to "The subways make sense to you." But I think there's an important distinction to be made between "I can find my way around on the subways" -- which I can -- and "I think they make sense" -- which they definitely don't. And probably never will. How do you fare when you come into town?

As a native New Jerseyan, I congratulate you on raising your New Jersey score. I'm sure the next time you will get an even higher score! I will send you some Bon Jovi to seal the deal.
