As women gain visibility in the blogosphere, they are targets of sexual harassment and threats. Men are harassed too, and lack of civility is an abiding problem on the Web. I had a mild stalking incident last summer--not nearly anything close to what those women experienced--but it was scary enough. A part of me sees how easy it would be to run, but another part of me sees the value in not giving them what they want. Doesn't make it any less scary, though.
