On Track

Periodically I send e-mails to family and friends updating on the details of my journey. Yes, they could read the blog for much of the same info, but reading this little corner of the blogosphere is not a requirement for friendship or familial relationship with me! Plus, in an e-mail that only goes to those near and deer, I can go into more details than I can on this publicly published to the entire world blog.

Anyway, I had a response to my latest mass e-mail from someone important to me who said: "It seems to me you are finding your way to doing good work, and seem happy with yourself on this path. The second element is important." Wise words from a wise someone. And, as it turns out, his analysis is seconded by this completely un-scientific silly blog quiz!

Your Life is 24% Off Track

In general, your life is going very well.

You're quite happy with where you are and what you're doing.

And even if you get a bit off course, you're usually able to get back on track easily.

Great to hear that you are "on track" - veracity unscientifically guaranteed!

I love reading your blog because in it you sound very comfortable and happy--good qualities that indicate you are finding the right path in life. It's encouraging for me--someone just on the other side of the fence.

I was interested to hear about your friends-and-family email updates as well. I've been trying to figure out how to communicate my journey with my family in a way that doesn't involve telling the same story over and over again. The blog doesn't seem to do it (most of them are not interested in reading it, honestly, which is fine). Perhaps I'll try the letter update idea...

SD - I send my e-mail letters every couple of months, just to let them know what's up. It seems to be fairly effective - and those close to me are certainly interested in this path of life I've chosen!

I've also noticed with those who weren't so excited about the idea, the regular updates have helped them to feel like they haven't lost me, but rather have gained a whole new me.

Peace on your journey
