it's a revgalblogpal kind of advent

Didn't get around to buying the book (or had difficulties with the postal service delivering on time or the package being stolen from your mail box?) ... never fear, Advent is still here.

And so are the wonderful reflections from assorted revgalblogpal types. Each day's reflection will be posted on a special blog .. A Light Blazes in the Darkness. Check it out!

I'm back home. Need to unpack. Put away my groceries. Make some soup. And set up my own Advent Wreath.

Last night I read the prayer as we blessed the Advent Wreath at my OTHER home with the Sisters. It was kind of cool. And this morning we had breakfast at a liturgically correct dining room table :) ... purple placemats and napkins.

Busy week ahead. Tomorrow night is the first installment of our Rotating Advent Peace Prayer Service - "Journey to Bethlehem, Journey to Peace." Pax Christi Portland is sponsoring it. Each Monday of Advent at 7pm we move to another Portland parish and pray for peace in a region of our world. Tomorrow night (Nov 28) it's at Christ the Teacher Chapel at the University of Portland. North America is the region, and as it's one day before the 25th Anniversary of Dorothy Day's Death I think she will be a focus of the service. If you're in the area, check it out!
