tsunami warning

I live in the Pacific Northwest, where especially in the cities people are apt to describe themselves as "Spiritual but not religious." In the 2001 American Religious Identification Survey conducted by the City Universtiy of New York, more people in Oregon & Washington identified themselves as having "No Religion" than any other group. Other studies have listed Oregon & Washington as the No. 1 and No. 2 "un-churched" states in our fair nation, which agrees with my experience. That said, people here are really quite spiritual in a non-churchy way.

Well … my lunch time reading lead to this bit of news …. apparently Pat Robertson is now predicting a tsunami to take care of all these godless heathens.

If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms," Robertson said May 8. Wednesday, he added, "there well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest."

Robertson has come under intense criticism in recent months for comments suggesting that American agents should assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip.
You gotta love Pat Robertson! You can't make this stuff up.

Good thing I'm getting out of dodge ... but will it be before the tsunami??
