Meet Brittany - I stumbled acros her blog the other day. (This picture is from her blog - I'm pretty sure it's not a self-portrait!). Brittany is a young woman with a strong pull to relgious life. She's planning to enter the Salesian Sisters in August. She's been accepted and everything. The only problem is she's got $3,000+ in student loans to pay off before she can enter. This is a problem I can identify with, although I was lucky enough to have a very generous father with the cashflow to be able to help - aka, my debt repayment fairy.
If you'd like to help Brittany, visit her blog, where she also has links to her vocation story. She can provide letters of reference from the vocation director of the Salesian Sisters and her spiritual director. Donations can be sent directly to the loan center.
If you're not able to offer financial help, please keep her in your prayers.

Thank you so much! This is great!
Bleh...I know how the student loan thing goes--I've got more than I care to admit. Don't have much to offer besides my prayers.
Prayers are appreciated! Per someone's suggestion I also set up a PayPal Account (which they can find a link to on my blog) for accepting donations.

Yes, I also mentioned The Laboure Foundation to her. For those who don't know, The Laboure Foundation exists for the express purpose of providing financial support to assist individuals entering religious life to pay off their debt so they are free to pursue their religious vocation. What a blessing!
I am going through the Laboure Foundation, too...
... but I do not know very many people around here (I just moved) ... so I am going to have trouble getting mailing addresses... but we will manage somehow.
