snow bells
We're having a bit of a snow storm here in Jersey City today, and so I give you an actual picture of the aforementioned church bells (or rather the tower that I presume holds said bells) as seen from my bedroom window.

Nice photo...you are close to those Bells, but also close to God!
Wow! Snow just outside your window! That's so beautiful! We don't have much snow or many in-use church bells here in Australia but I love them. Ever since reading Joan Chittisters 'wisdom distilled from the daily' the bells have said "Listen" to me. A reminder to listen to my heart, to the world, to God... it's a beautiful thing (as long as you're not try to sleep I guess)
Love the photo! I hope there are real bells in there. Years ago at CCD we got a tour of our Church and found out that the bells that played on holidays etc were actually some sort of prerecorded system. Very disappointing. On a nicer note, years ago at my college there were bells that went off I believe every half hour, if not half hour then definitely on the hour. After about a month of being there I never really heard them. I'd be on the phone and someone would mention hearing bells in the background. I never heard them until someone pointed them out!
